Uses: Sulfur donor for natural and synthetic rubbers. V-7 produces a high percentage of monosulfidic crosslinks that results in vulcanizates with superior aging characteristics. V-7 can be usedas either complete or partial replacements for sulfur and thiuram and DTDM sulfur donors in EVand semi-EV type cure systems. In tires V-7 serials are used in the innerliner, chafer, bead apex, sidewalls, and tread.
Polymers: Natural rubber and synthetic elastomers. Especially good in curing rubber that containschlorine such as chlorobutyl and polychloroprene.
Synergism: Can be used with most typical rubber accelerators and sulfur. When used as a partialreplacement for sulfur, V-7 tends to improve dispersion of other additives in the rubber
Crosslink Type: V-7 promotes mono-sulfidic crosslinks resulting in vulcanizates with excellentheat and aging resistance.
Non-nitrosamine: V-7 does not produce nitrosamines like many of the other sulfur donors such asDTDM and the thiurams.
Handling & Safety: It should be handled with care and prevent contamination of the environment.Transportation: It is not dangerous material according to the transportation regulations.
Storage: It should be stored under suitable conditions (dry & cool).
